This space was declared officially a Cultural Park in 2001. It is between the Aragonese Pyrenees and the depression of the Ebro and has to the river Vero like axis vertebrador of this territory.
The Cultural Park of the river Vero nine municipalities integrate: Alquézar, Colungo, Adahuesca, Santa Maria of Dulcis, Pozán de Vero, Azara, Castillazuelo, Barbastro and of course Bárcabo, being this the only one that there is part of the Region of Sobrarbe, belonging the rest to the Region of Somontano de Barbastro.

The Cultural Park contains a big and mixed Cultural heritage sample, from the overcoats of rock art of the Trucho, Arpán, Muriecho, Mallata and Barfaluy, these two last ones in the municipality of Bárcabo, happening for the traditional and industrial architecture, or the ethnographic, landscape, geologic patrimony, museístico, gastronomic... convirtiéndo to this territory in an important focus of tourist attraction of cultural nature and of sport of adventure, being the ravines of the river Vero one of the more important poles from attraction at European level.
