From the location of the parish church of San Esteban de Almazorre it is possible to observe a spectacular view of the Pyrenees. But perhaps the most spectacular thing is behind closed doors: a Romanesque apse with fresco paintings possibly influenced by the authors of those of the valley of Tahüll in Lérida.
In the spring of 2009 was unveiled the restoration of the pantocrator and the pictorial decoration of the preapse of San Esteban of Almazorre, a work dated in the beginning of the XIIth century.
We discover some paintings very influenced by those of the studios in Lérida. Of elongated features and with a serene and calm look there waits for us a Moslem warrior who seems to give us the welcome.
