The legend of the holm oak

It is told that the witches of its surroundings used to take refuge in this holm oak forest to plan his wickedness.

The youngest holm oak argued with the others, since it did not want to serve as shelter to the witches and wanted to help the men.

The witches left the forest, after granting a desire to the old holm oaks. Some asked to be made of gold and have golden leafs, others wanted to be made of crystal and the last ones asked to be perfumed.

But the wind, with its nastiness, tore out the leafs of all the crystal trees that finally were smashed to smithereens, and the smugglers had his opportunity, taking the golden leafs, while the flocks ate the tasty perfumed leafs.

All of them died.

Only the young and strong holm oak remained the same, and survived, turning in the present-day majestic tree called, by the sweetness of his fruits, the Chestnut grove in Lecina.

There are a lot of legends about witches and “encantarias", connected with this protected places: the mount Asba, caves as Sotarraña in Betorz or Mosque in Lecina, or the Ravine of the Witch in Eripol.

And now we propose you to play a game

Enjoy the majesty of this unique specimen and find among its branches three green beings, a little bigger than a holm oak leaf. Each of them carries a golden leaf, a crystal leaf and a scented on other one... the last three leaves that remain: find them!
