Houses of Lecina

Its houses conserve the greater number
of coats of arms in this region, the “Viello
Sobrarbe” (Houses of Olivera, Urbán, Buesa,
Otín, etc.), and the huge chimney with “espantabrujas” (scare away witches) in Pocino House.

Shield

Lecina preserves an outstanding complex of buildings, facilities and elements of ethnographic interest, as well as a high number of noble houses. They stand out, among others, Casa Sampietro, dated in the XVIth century, with a beautiful doorway and an ogee opening decorated with reliefs, or Casa Carruesco, dated in the XVIth century, built in three sections: the house, a central tower and a chapel.

Carruesco House
It is shared out in three sections: the house, a central tower with a voussoir door and a machicolated top, and a chapel. In the chapel we find a Christ carved in sunken relief, which is not of high quality but has the distinctive attraction of the popular works.
